“Blonde on Blonde [Limited Edition] / Bob Dylan” This is the fourth release in Sony’s fully in-house produced analog record series, featuring Bob Dylan’s seventh album, originally released in 1966. Significance: The album was the first-ever double LP in rock history, reaching #9 in the US and #3 in the UK. It masterfully blends Dylan’s two sides—the poet and the rock ‘n’ roller—and is often regarded as one of the greatest works of his long career. Hit tracks include: “Rainy Day Women #12 & 35” (#2 US), “I Want You” (#20 US), and “Just Like a Woman” (#33 US). It also features creative, ambitious experiments such as “Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands”, which occupies an entire side of the LP. Members of The Band, who later collaborated with Dylan, also contributed to this album. Most of the recording took place in Nashville, with Bob Johnston as producer.
