Description Colorcan Marine Anti-Slip Deck Paint – Any Colour 1L ColorCan Marine anti-slip Deck Paint is a tough, 1K polyurethane that is slip resistant and will protect the surface from every day wear and tear. It’s easy to apply, comes in a huge range of colours and its low sheen finish helps prevent sunlight from reflecting off decks. ColorCan Marine anti-slip deck paint contains fine mineral additive for a hard wearing, non-slip surface. Features Suitable for interior and exterior use above the waterline. Choose from 1000’s of colours from colour standards RAL, NCS & British Standard (BS) For use on Substrates such as Aluminium/Zinc-Galvanised Steel, GRP/FRP, Steel, Wood Can also be used on previously painted surfaces such as polyurethane, epoxy, alkyd, acrylic etc Suitable for use on decks, ramps, steps etc Specially developed for extreme weather conditions. Anti-corrosive and UV resistant with long lasting performance. Finish: Semi-gloss aggregated anti-slip coating. Application Method: Brush, Roller Recommended Number of Coats: 1 – 2 Practical Coverage: 10 m²/L Typical Shelf Life: 1 Year Coverage: 10m2 per litre. Tools: Brush or Roller (Mohair or short pile) Suitable for: Exterior & Interior use above the waterline. Clean up: Synthetic thinner or White Spirit. Drying Time: 6 hours Re-coating Time: Touch dry in 6 hours, ready for re-coat in 12 hours. For light traffic, wait up to 5 days, for normal traffic, wait 5 days . Fully cured in 15 days. Suitable Surfaces: Aluminium/Zinc-Galvanised Steel, GRP/FRP, Steel, Wood Surface preparation Surface must be clean, dry and free of oil, grease, salt and other surface contamination including any preparation residue e.g. blasting, sanding etc. Prior to blasting or manually preparing the surface all salt contamination should be removed using fresh water and the surface allowed to dry. All oils, grease etc. must be thoroughly removed using a suitable cleaning solvent, Isopropyl, Acetone etc. Deposits firmly adhered should first be removed by scraping and then cleaned using the solvent. Sand the surface with 80-120 grit sanding paper / discs. Clean surface of all preparation residue. Remove existing coatings back to a uniform, bright, bare clean metal surface by blasting (Sa2½), grinding (P24-P36), sanding (40-120 grit) or chemically using a suitable marine paint stripper. Clean surface of all preparation residue.
